This review is for all three books in the series: Narrenturm, Boży bojownicy (Warriors of God) and Lux Perpetua, in audiobook format jointly published by Fonopolis and superNOVA. I must give full credits to these producers because they've done fantastic and very professional job. The cast of over 200 people including many well known actors and professional singers, special sound effects and music (written by the same composer who wrote the score to Wiedźmin (Witcher) game) makes listening a very memorable experience.

It is a damn good action/adventure/quest and love story on the background of the XV century Hussite Wars. The background is well researched, making this almost a historical books. Almost... Here and there, Sapkowski adds a wicked gilding of witchery and magic, not too much, just enough for that what-happens-next shiver of anticipation. Bad guys are very bad. Good guys are good... most of the time. When they are not, you want to yell and slap them, annoyed that they will get themselves into even more trouble. As of course they do. There's a lot of good fun, but there's also darkness. The war, the fighting, the torture and burning of the witches... when I wrote the listening was memorable, that was exactly what I meant. I wrote 'enjoyable' but crossed it out. There is no enjoyment in the top class special effects of the fighting, the crunching of the bones, the screaming. Still, there is a good balance between the darkness and the humour, the wars and the stories of the fictitious characters.

I see the books have been translated into few languages, but no English yet. Bummer, eh, my friends? Read The Witcher Saga in the meantime :-), damn good fantasy (in this order: Blood of Elves, The Time of Contempt, Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, Lady of the Lake. Two other volumes: The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny are collections of stories that can be read as a loose prequel).

Four stars for each of the volumes, because I only give five stars to books I know I will read again.

Trylogia Husycka 》Saga Wiedźmińska

Koniec i bomba, kto czytał... ten się zmęczył. Od ilości postaci, miejsc i przygód.

Lektura przednia, jeszcze lepsza z wielką mapą i garścią szpilek pod ręką.

W skrócie mówiąc: like it!

Finally finished the Hussite trilogy and I gotta say, as grim and dark as it was...the ending was somewhat satisfying. Somewhat.
Reynevan set out to save his 'beloved' and all of it somehow sparks the beginning of the Hussite Crusade which pit the Roman Catholics against the Czechs that spread out into a full blown war for everyone in the region. All of this provided a cool landscape for what is essentially an adventure story that started out quite light hearted and somewhat comedic in The Tower of Fools and descended into grimdark territory with Warriors of God which then led to the conclusion of Light Perpetual.
Andrzej manages to create interesting characters that I came to like and care about which is surprising as i kinda lost hope when i got to Warriors of God, but regained it with Light Perpetual. All in all, Light Perpetual is a decent book that manages to give a satisfactory conclusion to this quite depressing trilogy about how life never goes how we want it to but still gives us what we need.

As per usual here are some cool things in this book:
- A proper conclusion
- Depression
