ngl there are a bunch of parts of this book that i think were unsuccessful or just not great/necessary. however, i fell in absolute love with the characters and their stories. i would do anything for them.

This book had a stronger start than finish in my opinion. I went in expecting it to be a generally happy romance but it ended up being way more emotionally dark. It was pretty heavy at some points and I’d definitely recommend checking trigger warnings. Overall though I was rooting for the love story and the characters. Eva’s daughter was my favorite and she had me cracking up the whole book! I liked this book but I don’t think it’s for everyone.

this was the second book i read for my 2023 tbr challenge and i enjoyed it a lot! i LOVED the characters and the love story between shane and eva. some parts of the book were a bit awkward which is why i gave 4 out of 5 stars and not 5/5 but i enjoyed reading it nonetheless and recommend it to anyone who enjoys romance (check tw first!!!)

I loved that every character in this book was complex, including the side characters, and that you got a chance to hear from multiple points of view. I found the romance compelling, and I appreciated that there was far more to this book than just the romance itself. I also appreciated the symmetry between the two “Seven Days in June” that the book follows. I liked how the author touched on multiple difficult subjects as well, such as what it’s like to have an invisible disability and generational trauma. I can’t think of many books that I would classify as a romance where these subjects were woven in so thoughtfully.
