This was excellent, and definitely among one of the best mountaineering books I’ve read. The observations of living in Canada as a Frenchman were so funny. Overall, thoughtful and insightful. I hope to pick up a physical copy to reread someday as I did find myself drifting a little when listening as an audiobook.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. Beautifully written, poetic by nature and all about the mountains I love so much, I will be recommending this book to absolutely everyone.

DNF. This is the wrong book for me at the wrong time. I hope to return to it, but for now, the style is a bit too ornate and I'm not learning enough or enjoying the author's personality enough to really push through / onwards.
