“Humbling women Seems to be a chief pass time for poets”- Circe*

I finished the book in 1.5days and one thing came to
mind all the while I was reading it, the book is like water it just flows page after page. The writing is so fluid that it won’t bother you that you are reading about centuries worth of history through 1 POV . The book is brilliant and subtly touches the irony of things that haven’t changed through centuries and histories to this day!

truly one of the best books i have read

i will be thinking about it as i go on

this book was so comforting to read. the way circe was so unequivocally human despite being a literal goddess… the love she had for her son , the affection she had for her lovers, i aspire to be someone as close to her honestly. for a fiction book on the retellings of greek goddess to be one of the most realest books i’ve read is ironic and i love it. the author writes so beautifully and i’m not surprised considering i loved the writing in song of achilles. whenever her new book comes out i’ll be the first to buy it for sure :)
