For some reason, this book was recommended to me by Audible, but it is clearly aimed at teenagers.  On Audible, it might be even more annoying than if I were to have just read it via text, because the narrator does all the adult's voices like really naggy stupid people.  The narrator also does all the antagonists voices like dopes.  And that's the thing I hate about this book. Everyone in it is black and white. There is no kind adult.  There is no complicated antagonist.  The plot is predictable, straight-forward, not complicated at all.  And perhaps being that I've been reading feminist books, I was particularly annoyed that all the love interest boy had to do in the book to endear him to the protagonist was show up.  So annoying.  I do not recommend.

Oh man, it's been years since a book made me cry *note do not read the ending after midnight when you have to wake up early next day* Okay, I don't want to write any spoilers, so I'll keep it as clean as possible. So, first of all, I must say, I really really enjoyed this book. In fact, I couldn't put it down. Thankfully, my exams were over and I had time in my hands ^^ Secondly, I loved the writing, reminded me of poetry or painting. Though, sometimes the author tends to repeat things and phrases, but these are minor mistakes for me. Thirdly, the main character, Lena, is so loveable (I know, I know, ironic considering this is a book where love is a disease). You can easily identify with her, she is so real, her fears, the way love transforms her, makes her stronger but still she is her same self, the way she sees things... as you can see, I'm a big Lena fan!! Although Hana is quite likable as well. At first, I though the friendship will go like the one in something borrowed, where the main character almost hated her friend for being too perfect. But Lena and Hana a proved to be more than that. Then we have Alex. Okay, to be honest, the first scene with Lena and him and the cows was too cliché, you could easily figure out that he will be the love interest. But still, as the chapters past by, I found myself thinking "where is Alex? I want Alex!!" Truth to be told, I'm not a huge fan of romances, but I utterly loved these two. And I'll tell you another secret, I kind of imagine him like that:
(I usually don't use gif in reviews, but this one is a necessity, so I bent the rules a little)
Okay, I know the guy doesn't look like the Alex from the book, but this is how I am imagining him. Plus he looks soooo dramatic here because he lost his love... Lastly, the main idea is so deliciously good, that you kind of want the story to keep going. I mean a place where love is considered lethal? But in fact that is just a lie to make people obeisance? Great, great idea!!
So, I'm moving on to the next one with high hopes. And my final observation for this book is READ IT!! If you like romance and dystopian books and YA you have to read it.
(sorry if I wrote spoilers by mistake, I really tried not too (: )

Not crazy about the authors writing style, but the story is good. Good enough for me to continue on to the second book.

I really did like this book, but I can't give it 5 stars because it had a super slow beginning and I was not thrilled about the ending. Hopefully Pandemonium starts right off with the action. Otherwise, I might be forced to put it back on the shelf.

I didn't love this book but i didn't hate it but I have to say I loved Before I fall more. This story remained me a lot of Matched but this book had a better story line and characters. The only thing that I didn't like about the story line is that it would get really good and then slow down a lot, etc. But I did love the forbidden relationship of Alex and Lena. Sometimes when Lena would talk about her feelings for Alex, it made me think of my first crush.

Definitely would recommend it to people that liked Matched.

Delirium
⭐️⭐️

Very boring, but I didn’t expect anything anyway. I just needed something uncomplicated to read so I could pass time while I waited to read something else. I will however continue the series because I’m invested in some of the characters, but that’s unfortunately the only reason why.

I really liked this book. The story is very interesting and the characters are very good even though I don't like the most of them.

The ending was heartbreaking, though. I look forward to read the next book to know what happens.
