The first three chapters had me hooked—but it quickly took a nosedive. The constant flashbacks pulled me out of the story every single time 😡. With so many books and so little time, I had to call it. DNF at 35%.
That said, after sitting on my physical TBR for over a year, I’m at least glad I finally gave it a shot.
Bill is faced with a terrible dilemma. Neither option is thinkable. This is a very intense book with likable, relatable characters. I wouldn’t suggest reading it on a flight , but otherwise I highly recommend!

This book was another case of "I wanted to love this, but..." It has a great premise for a thriller and while I would suggest you don't read this one on a plane, the story fizzled out for me somewhere in the middle. I found myself skimming sections and that's not a good sign for me.
I appreciated all the attention to the details of planes and flying that the author, a former flight attendant, brought to the story. However this one missed the mark for me. The motivation of the "bad guys" in the story didn't really work for me. The "good guys" were fine as characters, but I think this thriller would work better as a movie.
