Falling

“Everyone dies. No one escapes it. It’s the only fair thing in the world. Sometimes you’re young, sometimes you’re old, sometimes you deserve it, sometimes you don’t.”

Falling by T.J. Newman reads like a tense, suspenseful action movie. I loved and enjoyed every minute of it. Newman is an expert at building the tension and keeping readers at the edge of their seat; I couldn't look away from this one.

The book evoked so many emotions from me. I got goosebumps, I teared up, I got angry and frustrated as I was transported into the pages of this book. In my opinion, this author articulates brilliantly, through writing, the raw emotions of every character in this book. Antagonists included.

This was my second novel by this author and much like the first, it was a winner. A very sensitive and touchy scenario, tactfully handled. Very well done indeed.

I couldn’t put this book down, and that doesn’t happen to me all that often.

I love a story with short chapters and cliff hangers/one liners that don’t come across as cheesy (I’m looking at you Frieda 👀) and this one delivered! It was action packed, suspenseful and really had me invested in the outcome. I also really appreciated the way she integrated flashbacks to flesh out the characters. This book had the realism of lived experience, so I wasn’t surprised to discover TJ was a flight attendant herself.

The underlying message of the book was unexpected, and heartwarming. It gives you something a bit deeper to consider at the end an already great story. Excited to read her other ones!

Pretty good book which doesn't have a slow moment. I had a tough time putting this one down at all.

What a ride!

I couldn’t put this book down. It read like a movie and I was fully invested in it. The characters were great and the story helped me to realize we are so privileged here in the US that we need to unbury our heads from the sand and help others around the world who are living in dangerous and deadly times.

Very glad I’m not flying anywhere soon after reading this! A terrifying read, literally couldn’t put it down! I enjoyed the writing style, the characters and the storyline.

Falling starts with a bang and it doesn't stop until you reach the end.
T J Newman gave all the characters depth, even the minor characters had something to them to make you care how it all ended up.

The strength and determination of the main characters had me very emotional several times. Ultimately T J Newman managed to make me believe in humanity and that can be a very difficult task.

An edge of your seat thriller that you won't regret reading.

This felt like the plot of Air Force One in book form. True pedal to the metal intensity from start to finish. Beware the lack of sleep you may encounter from the lack of respite between action sequences.
