Another compelling installation in the I Survived series, and one especially of interest to me because I'm absolutely TERRIFIED of being a tourist in Japan if an earthquake or tsunami were to happen. I liked that our main character, Ben, drew on advice his father had given him about what to do in an emergency - it was advice I think would be important to kids in any stressful situation!

Another favorite for my fourth grade group!

Good but might be a bit intense for some kids

Exciting tale of survival. Addresses all aspects of the 2011 Tsunami disaster.

It was about the Japanese Tsunami in 2011.

A good way for young readers to learn about history.

A Japanese disaster and you make the center of your story an American....? Yeah, no.

This is the first in this series that I've read. I'll be book-talking this for sure.
