How empty a person's life has to be; if an overcoat can change it so much? One of the darkest stories I've ever read.

No friends, no family, no skills, no passion, no ambition, no money, no house - it probably can't get poorer.

Una historia llena de humor y absurdo, pero donde la risa se nos ahoga y se torna en tristeza. El protagonista es Akaki, un funcionario de bajo rango que es atormentado por sus colegas y superiores y resiste con docilidad. Eventualmente necesita cambiar su abrigo por uno nuevo y entrega su vida a ello. La prosa es amena y hay mucho para el anĂ¡lisis. Lo recomiendo como primera lectura de Gogol.
