MARRIAGE LIFE WITH SOME DETECTIVE STORY LINE???
yesss, this is what we wanted. i really enjoyed this 0.5 book
i also liked that it has significance for the main story.
the second story is so murder-on-the-orient-express-esque, i loved it.
chloe gong’s writhing has its weaknesses, but what it will sure do is entertain you.

Still recommend it if you loved the main series like me but idk, the dialogues were a little bit too corny and the novella format just doesn't quite do it for me. 10/10 cute though.

5 stars for the cute vibes and fluff.
Honestly I just really enjoyed reading from Roma and Juliette’s perspective again because I deeply missed them and I loved seeing them in their domestic fluff era. However I think I enjoyed Benedikt and Marshall’s story, a fun mystery murder.

pure fluff but I AM HERE FOR IT
every second of these books literally just put a huge smile on my face. I'm so happy to see these two couples happy bc let's just say they both had some...trouble. every joke making fun of all the death faking and romajuliettes very bumpy relationship made me giggle psychotically. but like fr these two sweet ol married couples are some of the cutest ships ever. EVERY. SINGLE. WORD. OF THESE BOOKS IS JUST

"Are you all right?"
He cupped her chin in concern. "You're the one with the bruised face, and you are asking me?"
"I know this hurts you more than it hurts me." She scrunched her nose in jest, then immediately winced when it pulled her muscles.
"Don't be a comedian. I really do have phantom physical pain watching you."
I'm most angry at Chloe Gong herself for talking about this novella without a spoiler warning on her IG story when it came out last year so I had to unfollow her and live with the knowledge that I know what this book is about.
A Foul Thing is cute and enlightening plot-wise though!! My scarred heart from These Violent Delights duology is healed, and I like how it ties in with the scientific experiments in Foul Lady Fortune. I'm so excited for everyone to finally meet! (This Foul Murder is honestly unnecessary but it's a necessary fluff and fun so I'm not complaining.)
