Another fantastic WWII historical fiction novel from this author!  Told in dual timelines, both stories are equally interesting, pulling in the reader from the beginning.  The work of British SOE operatives, especially the women, is highlighted during the WWII years with details of the dangers they constantly faced.  In 1970, a former agent who sustained a brain injury, is hoping to locate the agent who saved his life during the war.  His daughter, along with a history teacher, are instrumental in the research that leads to secrets and revelations along the way.  The must-read author's note detailed her research as well as outlined who the characters were based on and what was truth vs. what she created in her writing.
