It was interesting....but soooooooooo boring.

Excellent teen book

i seen the movie to this years ago and though it was sad it was quite good, the narrator of Black Beauty's voice was perfect, so when i read this book obviously that voice was transferred to the book.

the book is more in depth than the movie, and Beauty explains a lot more about how he felt in situations he was put in, the story also tells a bit about Ginger and Merry legs and also introduces characters that were left out of the movie. Anna Sewell does a grand job at questioning the resons of neglect and fashion through her human characters as much as the horses and makes for a enjoyed read.

i rate the novel 5 stars, i bought it from a second had book shop and it is a plain book cover with delicate pages this is one of the reasons i prefer to read books to kindles.
Anyway, the feel and size of this little book added to the wonderful read, such an old story in an old style really makes a difference and though unlike the movie the book did not make me cry i still felt that i enjoyed it just as much if not more so.

I was probably better at working my way through classics as a child than I am now. It’s rather perplexing really. Although, I failed to enjoy them as much during my childhoods so I guess it’s both a win-win and a lose-lose situation.

As one of my childhood reads I did enjoy this one, but it is very far from being one of my favourite classics. It’s simply one for which I can say ‘oh yes, I picked it up’.

Still, it was a nice read and maybe if I had been older when reading it I would have enjoyed it more. I may very well give it another go to see what I think of it now that I’m older.

Glorious read :)

Happy Reading!!

What I learned from this book was to look at the life of an animal from the viewpoint of the animal itself, a trait that I have carried with me throughout my life. Just thinking about this book makes me want to cry. It was one of the first long books I ever read, and I still have the
very early Rand McNally edition of it that was given to me as a small child.

I read this for my 2019 Reading Challenge the prompt was a book revommen by a celebrity. I usually try to fix one classic book into my challenge every year because I do not read nearly enough of them. I liked this one better than most. It was a pretty cute story with some sad parts.

Audiobook: narrated by Ralph Cosham

A very redeeming ending! This novel made me think about slavery quite a bit.

A childhood favorite...

Bagus banget, sangat menyentuh. Rusuh sendiri mengikuti bagaimana nasib Black Beauty.

I really liked it.
