This book was Intense

Everything the first book was and more. I was shocked by so many of the twists and very lost near the end, until everything suddenly Clicked into place.

When I read the first book, I was leaning more towards Gale because everything was So fake and confusing with Peeta. But now, I think I’m team Peeta: he’s so sweet and steady, the calm to Katniss’ storm.

These Games were very interesting and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I was rooting for so many of the contestants I didn’t even know what to think.

Now I Definitely don’t know what to think—what a cliffhanger!

The beginning I found really slow, with the daunting feeling that the physical games didn’t start for another 250 pages, but once I got into it, I finished in a few mere days

"Catching Fire" is the second book of the Hunger Games and it is a vast improvement compared to the first book. The characters get more depth and feel more realistic, the plot has a smooth progress and it is a nice set up for what is to come. This time also the author is not afraid to go dark and give more horrors and more violence.
