3.5 stars. Not bad, just a bit off-balance between the angst and the action.

Edit: rounded up rather than down after a re-read. Suppose I enjoyed the angst more this time around, or it made more sense in the grand setting.

idk how this series has kept katniss alive for currently 2 books already. everytime i turn a page she’s always 1 step closer to dying but i turn the page again and she’s alive still

Catching Fire is a huge twist to the first Hunger Games and keeps you hooked all throughout. It does end on a cliffhanger which is a little irritating if you do not own all the books but I luckily had a teacher whom was very willing to allow me to borrow all 3 of the books.
I feel like the book should have ended sort of the way the first one did but it is still a very good book.

This was an amazing second book in a series. I cannot wait to delve into book three.
