Colin and Jihae fight the instant attraction between them, knowing a romantic entanglement could damage their business relationship. But when the craving becomes too strong, they convince themselves that a fling won't hurt, as long as it's discreet. Over time, they grow closer, even as the secrets between them threaten to tear them apart. How can love survive when the trust between them is destroyed?

This is an emotional story full of passion and intrigue. I enjoyed the characters and sympathized with Jihae's family situation, how they tried to control her and use her as a pawn. It was nice to see her grow into her own power.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received.

This was an interesting tie in to the first two in the series and I'm glad we got redemption for Jihae Park. However, this had the same issues as most Harlequin category romances do for me in that it feels too short to tell a fully fleshed out story.

Thanks to Harlequin and Netgalley for my copy to review.

I think this was my favorite installment, the second book and this one are pretty close, they both made me emotional, but Colin and Jihae had the most fun banter and dynamic!

A Song of Secrets

Colin Song can't resist when he's given the chance to add Jihae Park of Rotelle Entertainment to his team. The bonus? He has the chance to spy on her to see if she knows anything about the plant placed in Hansol Corporation.
But when their first meeting is fraught with desire, they both must decide together what the rules are for a relationship with your enemy...

This is the third book in the Heirs of Hanson trilogy, and it's the best one, in my opinion! I really enjoyed this trilogy!

4 stars. I’m sad to see the series wrap up but I did really enjoy this book. After the disappointment that was book two, I was kind of nervous but I think Lee ended everything really well and tied everything up.

I really do like her writing and will read whatever she publishes. Her characters are great and she does angst, pining, and tension so well. I loved both Jihae and Colin. They’re both such emotional beings and I thought they were so cute together. Jihae is known to the public as being a snobby, stick in the mud Princess but she’s really just a doll. She has a big heart and she’s extremely likable. Colin wears his heart on his sleeve and he is damn good and groveling. I love me a hero who knows how to grovel and he did not disappoint. I loved how hard he fell for Jihae. It was so sweet and endearing.

The drama and the secrets that Colin kept were pretty huge and while I wanted to smack him for not telling Jihae sooner it did make for some great angst and groveling. So I guess I can't be too mad.

The ending was sweet but I wish it had gone on just a bit longer. It felt too quick but I still liked it, especially seeing the other characters from the previous books. Overall, this was a fun series and I hope to read more by Jayci Lee soon.

Man, Jayci Lee really lucked out with the covers for these books. Every one of them is amazeballs!

Anyway, Colin's now officially my favourite Song. In terms of books, I enjoyed this one the most. I adore him and Jihae together. Also I dunno why I had Blackpink's Jisoo in my head for Jihae when I read, but yeah that's what happened. Both of them together are so *chef's kiss* HOT.

My only (minor) issue with the story (and it's actually a recurring issue I found with the previous books as well) is the story wrap-up felt a bit rushed? I can't remember if I've brought this up in my reviews for book 1 and 2. I'm guessing it had to do with staying within the character/word limits for this HQ line but nonetheless, it affected my overall satisfaction of this story. I'd love if some scenes in this book were expanded a bit more (e.g. the whole conflict between Jihae and her father, as well as that between her and Colin); it would've made a greater emotional impact.

Issue aside, I enjoyed this one a lot, and I'm parking it under #FallIntoRomBingo: Royalty because Jihae is described as Korean chaebol princess and it totally counts okay get off my case I NEED TO FINISH THIS BINGO BEFORE DECEMBER-

E-ARC is received thanks to the publisher via Netgalley.

Off-limits attraction
4/5 stars

I made the mistake of waiting a bit too long to review this so some of the memories are a bit hazy but I'm going to do my best.

I automatically am more inclined to like books that have Asian people or people of color in general as the main protagonist. So having two attractive wealthy Asian leads was a refreshing change of pace from most of the books that I've read. I think that they were both sweet and compelling while being set in their ways. I loved the Heat and tension between them and they had a fun and sweet story that was easy to fly through.

I will say that a lot of the storylines that involved the Espionage with heroines father kind of confused me maybe it went over my head or wasn't explained necessarily well but it felt a bit convoluted and like something that might have translated better in film. I definitely was reaffirmed in my opinion that I love Harlequin romances after picking this one up and want to Devour the rest of the series that follows this family.

Was this the most intricate writing in the world? No. But the thing is it didn't have to be it was a wonderful execution of what it set out to do it was fun it was light it was compelling I love the idea of 2 love interests bonding while making a rom-com movie I thought that was a beautiful touch that I've never seen before done in a book.

It was a angsty with a touch of frustration for how much they kept pushing and pulling between the two in such a short amount of time and it did feel slightly regurgitated after a bit where it was that same pattern of her feeling vulnerable and getting close to him and him like making out with her and then pushing her away because he felt guilty about it. I thought that it was a sweet journey. I loved the main female best friend and I think that I will definitely return to this on a day where maybe I'm sad and I need a good Comfort romantic comedy in my life.

I mean it's it's pretty self-explanatory. I think this is a gorgeous cover, it sounded like a fun plot and it was a really good Quick time. You know whether or not you're into this sort of thing based off the cover based off the fact that it is published by Harlequin and whatnot. And you're going to get exactly what you're looking for with that if you are at all into those things or if you are a fan of romantic comedy movies as a whole I would definitely recommend to this for that type of fan and I am glad I picked this one up.
