Olivia overwhelmingly moved to an isolated farmland and preacher helped saving her reputation by marrying to the farmer. There was new friendship and betrayed she had to take care of. It was well written.

I couldn't put this book down. I liked internal struggle Olivia wrestled with, and the ties to WW2. Rose and Lorelei were also great characters and it was interesting to learn more about Japenese internement camps. Ray was also great! I think the ending wrapped up pretty quickly, so that's why it's not 5 stars.

Creel had a way with saying a lot with only a few words. I loved the characters, i got teary-eyeda few times. I enjoyed this read very much!
