I may be biased since Damian Wayne is my absolute favorite comic book character ever, but the story was actually really good and exciting. Damian's character got softened a little here, I think, but I loved it. Williamson handled him gracefully. I loved Damian's character here just about as much as I loved him in past runs like Morrison's, Tomasi's, and Gleason's works.

I wasn't a big fan of the romance, though. There was barely any chemistry and it felt really forced. Nothing seemed to happen between these two characters but the people around them just paired them off together for no good reason. It wasn't handled very well.

This is the Damian book I've been waiting for. Love how Williamson writes him and the supporting cast (even Ravager, who I usually find unbearable). Love that Damian is a good balance of brilliant, cocky, and guilt-ridden. Absolutely adore the Batfam issue ❤️

This wasn't too bad, and read decently for someone (me) not too familiar with what's going on in DC Comics right now. I'm gonna have to figure out how to read whatever led up to the death of Alfred, though, because most of the random stuff I'm picking up keeps referring to it. I did love the few emotional moments woven in here, especially between Damian and Dick as they reflected on Alfred's influence on them.

The rest of this felt like a ridiculous over the top Mortal Kombat tournament with all the next gen versions of DC villains and it was enjoyable for what it was doing.

The art felt a little too cartoonish at times, but when it worked it really fit the tone and style of what this was going for.
