- Made of lots of little short stories to paint a picture of how humanity changes in the future
- Each has a distinct voice
- I found the 2nd voice uncomfortable

It’s inventive, riveting, and horrifying all at once. I don’t think we ever got a clear picture of the world throughout the novel, but the pieces we did see were precise and vivid. In the end, it was a study about what it means to be human. It was also a terrifying future, especially when you could see so much of our current world and politics infused in the genetic issues.

Also I can’t stop thinking about Jake above anyone else. His story was absolutely the most haunting.
