If RoboCop was a Disney Princess.

When I was putting together a to-read list I kept finding All Systems Red and the MurderBot Diaries series near the top of tons of lists. When I finally got a copy in my hands I was surprised with how short it was. When I finished I was honestly tempted to just turn back to page 1 and start again.

Clocking in at just shy of 150 pages, it's intelligently segmented to tempt you to tear through the next chapter over and over. MurderBot as a protagonist is such a star whose narration makes you feel as if you're augmented yourself with a feed into her experiences. I'm tempted to backburner the rest of my to-read and just tear through the sequels.

Intriguing, gripping, and a ton of fun packed into a quick read. What more could you ask for?

Not being a science fiction super fan, I was hesitant to start this series as I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy it, but hearing so many great things I figured I would give it a shot considering how short the installments are and I was very pleasantly surprised. I found Murderbot's dry sense of humor to be hilarious, their interactions with his clients awkwardly funny, and the story fantastic. While not overly shocked about their decision at the end, I'm curious to see how/where they go from here.
