I thought the concept of this book was cool (queer and Robin Hood retelling) but the actual writing just wasn’t it for me.

Very rarely do I have to pause books because I’m really not enjoying it and this one ended up being one of the few that I had to do that.

I felt like there was a lot of “telling” and not “showing” and I also felt like the plot went so fast. I really do feel like it adds a lot more to the book when you have chill moments and some stronger and longer world building and this book definitely needed that.

On top of this, the characters were so immature, especially Mariel. It was hard to get into this book when these characters were so childish but supposedly were 18. Although i did like clem as a comedy relief character.
