Pros:
- Clem has my entire heart I love her so much
- accepting people where they are also is a love of mine
- Morgan is such a goblin and I do live for this enby rep
- I really loved the commentary on fighting for fighting's sake
- the whole company was just a delight
- I also really loved the realistic depiction of battles and violence and how no punches were pulled
- Old Rosie also gets her own bullet point because I see where Clem got it from
- the Underwood is a dream to me and I'm mad it's not real
- we all knew Robin Hood was gay
- I really liked the ending :3 lebeanssss (and also all the politics stuff ig)
Cons:
- the relationship between Mariel and Clem felt like it popped up so fast; I feel like it could've been a better build
- on the flip side, Mariel's development felt too slow and painful in coming. I still liked her, but she spent a lot of the book being very stuck in her ways
- again with Mariel, but I wish we got more development with her and her parents
Overall:

I was super excited for this book bc I just finished Lex Croucher’s Gwen and Art are Not in Love and I wanted more of their work. However, this one fell a little flat for me. I loved Clem and the company and the complex nature of the relationships and situations in the book, but I just found Muriel pretty unlikeable. She redeemed herself a bit toward the end, but she made it harder for me to like the book. Do love that they made Robin queer though!
Such a fun, easy read, with loveable characters and interesting story.

There were so many bits of comedy gold in this amazing adventure. Such great characters and good old fashioned thievery and prison breaks - nothing can be better than gay robin hood.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a fun re-imagining of the next generation of Merry Men! Well written with lots of fun banter (I did love Baxter!). A fantastic starter for Pride Month!
