A fun and quick-paced read, but it couldn’t really hold my attention. While I liked the characters and the setting, and really enjoyed the found family vibes, I just didn’t see the chemistry between Clem and Mariel. I think it might have worked better without that romance? I did like the sort of ‘heist’ feel of the setting and I think I’m just a sucker for characters named Kit because he did influence my enjoyment of this book quite a bit. 
Also, the

‘fuck the facists’

at the end took me completely out of the story… Not sure

Incredible soup. An adventure story that doesn't feel bogged down.
