I still remeber me not wanting to read this book. I just had finished the first book of the Travises, and was totally in love with the male character.
This book has the exact amount of sadness, happiness, romance, sex, everything. It broke my heart in million pieces and glued all together with every page i was reading. I fell deeply in love with Hardy, a love that after almost 4 years didnt fade. A master piece of romance/erotic writing.

My only complaint was that much of this book felt like it was making the statement, "I've done my research on domestic violence, narcissism, and oil. Here, let me show you." Still, I enjoyed the characters and the story and am looking forward to reading the third book in this series.
Domestic violence scenes mane my anxiety so high I almost couldn’t finish it, but great story
It was ok I guess. This was my first LK contemporary and it was an extremely different kind of writing style compared to her historicals. For one, the fact that it was in first person and only from Haven’s perspective did throw me off. Secondly, although there was a lot happening.....it still felt empty. I’m used to LK’s characters jumping off the page and really making an impression, but that didn’t happen this time. Everyone seemed a bit one dimensional but I’m not sure why. It was an ok book.

Relied a little too much on heavy-handed heavy content for emotional responses, but I always love a roughneck to riches story.
Το δεύτερο βιβλίο της σειράς μου άρεσε περισσότερο από το πρώτο πρέπει να πω. Ίσως φταίει που είχε περισσότερα τραύματα μέσα, δεν είμαι απολύτως σίγουρη τι ήταν αυτό. Πάντως η οικογένεια Τράβις αρχίζει να αποκτά περισσότερο ενδιαφέρον. Ίσως έφταιγε και ο Χάρντι, δεν ξέρω… Πάντως η χημεία ανάμεσα στην Χέιβεν και τον Χάρντι ήταν φοβερή!
Είπα πάνω για τραύματα, που σημαίνει ότι έχουμε κάποια trigger warnings. Ενδοοικογενειακή βία, βιασμός και εγκλωβισμός σε ασανσέρ υπάρχουν εδώ, οπότε να τα έχετε υπόψη σας πριν ξεκινήσετε να το διαβάζετε.
