An interesting narrative revolving around real life surprises
Have you ever suddenly gotten surprised by unsuspecting health circumstances? They might seem like they have come out of nowhere, especially when life is already a paved path of struggles. I have gone through this path multiple times, and the blurb of this book drew me in *wink*.
This was an interesting perspective from a third person narrative when suddenly Aditya, a colleague and a dear friend of Nitish, cuts their daily call in a sudden unclear medical emergency, which throws Nitish into a tailspin of introspection of what happened, breaking from his usual disciplined life.
This book follows on the journey of Nitish and his conversations with his colleagues/friends with similar life experiences of unexpected health related experiences and the story flows on to Aditya's emergency and aftermath of it.
Some parts were really awe inducing and gave hope to inspire people. I appreciated the openness and love Aditya received, which is really hard to find.
The pacing was at first very breezy. I could really connect with the story, but slowly somewhere the pacing fell after the book was halfway through. Also, I felt depth lacking in the whole flow, because real life isn't generally all smooth flow. Maybe the author wanted to inspire people to keep going, but I really couldn't connect to parts where it matters like the whole emergency arc and to some people. I also noticed a few gaps in connection.
All in all, it was a nice book to read.
