Belly is sooooo immature that I couldn’t stand her. She acted like a selfish little girl but kept asking everyone around her to treat her like an adult. It was annoying and she didn’t get the much needed character development by the end. I wouldn’t have mind it so much if she’d at least changed by the end of the book, but she didn’t. Instead she got everything she wanted like the spoiled brat she is and left a trail of broken hearts behind her. She hurt the two much kinder boys in the book and it was so frustrating to watch.

Oh man the teen angst in this book. This was such a short, easy read and pretty enjoyable. It is 100% YA, and I didn't expect anything less, so there were some parts that had me rolling my eyes a bit but it's only because of the silliness of teen drama. This book was really nostalgic to me and how I spent my summers in high school as a teenager. My curiosity was peaked because of the show (which I still haven't seen) and I definitely will watch it. This was a cute story about love and loss and heartbreak.

This was such a fun series! Though there have been times when I wanted to strangle the characters in the book, I still loved it. The first book was the best, though.
