I have a new murder baby and her name is Cassandra Cain. I didn't expect to love her but I really do.

The first 25 issues of this series are a major part of what got me full-time into comics. I gave those single issues out to so many friends, and all of them loved the series. This book collects the first half of that (issues 1-12) and the next book contains the other half (issues 13-25). So glad this is being reprinted. Read it!

This is an interesting iteration of Batgirl. I enjoyed the story well enough. Considering I'm also reading Marvels X-23's trade paperback, it makes me wonder about mute, vengeful, deadly women as heroes as a genre.

Interesting idea, wish it'd had better execution.

Why hasn't Aruna been in anything else??? What a missed opportunity. She could be the Batman of India!
In other news, Cass Cain is great.

Found a copy of this out-of-print Batgirl trade at my LCS on Free Comic Book Day. I love Cass Cain. Stephanie Brown will always be my favourite Batgirl, but Cass has a place in my heart now, too. (Can we bring them both back into continuity? Please? The DCU is a better place with Steph and Cass in it.)
