another day of travel meant another binge read and boy oh boy this one did not disappoint. This book had it all- romance, lost love, growing up with a rough childhood, alcoholism, abuse, and so much more. This book follows Emiline who’s roommate brings her this best selling book about a young girl and boy in Ohio who fell in love despite an awful childhood. Turns out, this book is written by that young boy and is actually about Emiline. We get to read this book as she’s reading it and hear present day all at the same time. I felt all of the emotions during this short book and I want to read more by this author!
Major book hangover. I don't know what to do with my life anymore.
In all seriousness, "Swear on This Life" was an amazing story. The story is tragic yet heartwarming. It allows you to hope and to believe in fate.

beautiful. It was like reading two books at a time and both were amazing
I liked the idea of this book, but after reading it I feel like it was more corny and predictable than anything else. The dialogue was flat and unrealistic while the story line cut the exact path you would expect finishing with even more unrealistic cookie cutter endings. I wished there had been more unexpected turns or just something more.
3.5 stars. Enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.
3.75 stars** sooo good but the ending should’ve happened differently
WOW <- All I could come up with once I'd finished SWEAR!
I've since had a few days and still can't stop thinking about it.
I've had a chance to digest this book a bit since I finished it and I'm still really in awe of Renee Carlino and her creativity. Carlino always has interesting ways of revealing her stories and this one is no exception. I LOVED IT. Carlino is a genius storyteller in my book. I just couldn't put this down. Read it in one sitting, didn't even put it down to go to the restroom. The only other book that grabbed me like this was The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
