The book was fine but I just don’t think it’s my vibe. Really cool imagery and interesting plot but I feel I found out the twist a bit too early for my tastes and I’m usually gullible tbh. I think this sort of dark kind of horror type book just isn’t for me. I liked the use of stories/myths tho, but be warned that there are a lot of dark intense themes of abuse and just generally crappy ppl.

I love Chokshi's writing. I know her style is not for everyone but I've been hooked since reading The Guilded Wolves series. I really enjoyed this adult debut.
