Thereโs a reason this book took me over a month to finish. I wonโt get into that now.
For the most part I enjoyed the book. We had two head butting situations and times in the main characters life that we were constantly reliving. The present day and the same day 24 years ago. Every chapter was the same to THE MINUTE other than the fact that sometimes it was 24 years prior.
I liked that a lot! There were so many characters and archetypes that were being filled. It was a HEFTY read for barely 300 pages
The poor to rich plot line was cute until you realized the main character was actually a jerk. My main issue with this book was that we were blindsided. By not only the suspicions and mystery vibe of the summary of the book (because Iโm sorry but if the only โmysteryโ in your book is based on sexual assault, itโs not mystery or horror or psychological horror or anything itโsโฆa glamorization.) but we were also blindsided by THE PLOT. I was reading this and had so many twists in my head and not a single one happened. The book just continued normally. I was upset.
I was disappointed.
I also think that a book that has some gore in it (in reference to a murder hehehhee) is awesome! I appreciate the detailed scenes and words that were written. I just donโt like how we got there.
End of discussion.

Anyway. The reason this book took me over a month to finish was because I was in a play and stuff but ALSO the book was boring. If youโre not a fan of American Psycho style dialogue with an analysis of every single thing, this book might not be for you :)
Donโt be rich and stupid.
