OK...I feel like the Butlers are right out of the Hitman Series...right off the bat! Was excited for the bad guy experience, but being as this is a Disney movie now, obviously it missed the mark for me! Wish I would have read this when I was younger...

This book was inventive, captivating, and fun to read. However, I had a hard time with the fact that Artemis is only 12. For me personally, I think it would have taken me out of the story less if he were a teenager but the fact that he's 12 made stop and think, "Really?". Nothing that ruined the story, or the experience, but just a personal hang up of mine.

Not my favorite book in the series but still enjoyed it greatly. Overall - I love the Artemis Fowl series...such fun.

The main character is a Marty Stu, the story is hard to muddle through. I did not enjoy this book, and may not continue on with the series.

Another nostalgia reread and it kept me well entertained on my road trip! I remembered very little honestly and it was so fun to experience again. Big fan of the Butlers, the dwarf guy was gross but fun, and love a little angst-y dude like Artemis. I really had no recollection of how tragic his family situation was?? And I loved seeing the cracks in his facade that revealed him as just this little twelve year old despite his genius. Eager to continue the series, although probably a little slower than the other two I’ve been working through.

It's okay. My life would not got worse if I never read it.

That being said, in this particular case the book indeed is 100x better than the movie (mainly because the movie is an utter & absolute garbage).

I LOVE this installment. I think it's the first time since the first that we actually get an enjoyable plot with true consequences and difficulty for the characters. And the introduction of the demons and No1 is just *chefs kiss* exactly what we needed
