A man has lived his life in solitude, until one night he meets a woman. The meeting of these two characters highlights a subtle contrast between the compliant lonely man and a young woman seeking to escape the isolation she bound by, presenting a deeper complexity within the theme of solitude. The honest and emotionally charged dialogue captivated me as the reader. The author metaphorically frees these two repressed characters through their serendipitous meeting. Despite the reader being subjected to follow the story unfold through the male perspective, the male protagonist seemed to hold pure and innocent motives, only appearing slightly strange at some points.
The short story also seemed to subtly open up a deeper and philosophical discussion about the different ways in which we love and appreciate one another, showing again its brilliance by going beyond the plot simply being about whether the two protagonists will fall in love.

beautifully written. I resonated with the characters as the emotions were portrayed beautifully
