I would have given this 4 stars but I can't stand when the lead male says stuff to the lead woman like honey, sweetheart or baby, or any other icky sounding pet name. Especially when you listen to it! If it was just once I'd let it slide, but multiple times I just can't. It feels condescending and just doesn't work for me.

Woof I didn’t think I was a cynic who rolled their eyes at every unrealistic, over the top show of affection but alas we have uncovered romance just isn’t for me.

However, I did finish it so finding out the end was compelling enough

Ah! I was a huge fan of the Gallagher Girls series growing up, and being able to go back to Ally Carter’s world of spies?!? Amazing! This was such a fun, exciting, twisty romp. I absolutely adore this book.
