Most of this book is spent developing the relationship between Mo Ran and Chu Wanning to be more romantic which leads to goofy hijinks where both of them realize the extent of their affections including; Chu Wanning's sexuality crisis and Mo Ran's commitment to providing for his shizun. The story has many soft moments that had me grinning, I really enjoyed this book after all the angst from the previous books. (Once again Chu Wanning my beloved <3 )

These two would fail temptation island day one 

80% of this was Mo Ran fighting is inner demons, them being how horny he is for CWN 🤡 like CWN felt bad for being a little thirsty meanwhile MR had my jaw on the floor every second paragraph💀Most down bad for each other couple in danmei istg; I’d bet money that if this released today, Meatbun would have made this an a/b/o novel 

Also first novel without life or death or actual death happening which is apparently the only thing keeping them from just jumping each other 
Also whole series spoiler:

this just makes it sm more fucked up what Mo Ram became in the other time line with the Flower of Hatred 🫥 like he really is just a dumb little romantic at heart and all that was crushed and turned into the worst possible version of himself possible
