I really had to force myself to get through this one even though I had read the previous two. It’s just too many characters with names that sound way too similar. As an audiobook reader, that just makes it incredibly difficult to follow. Maybe it would have been easier had I not had a few months break between books, but I am at the mercy of my library.

Great page-turner bringing back characters from the first 2 books and deftly weaving their stories together.  Often, in a series, the story gets watered down as it continues, but the author has managed to create another unique extension of the original story, building on the lives of previous characters as well as introducing new ones.  Great friendships, fun twists, and a fast pace added more perks to the story.

The last mystery thriller of the Bayview trilogy brings back the Murder Club for a new game.

This book does retail the first two books and brings back original characters, including Jake's and Simon's storylines, but who aren't the main characters.

It's a bit of a letdown for a final trilogy book. The plot isn't very much and grasps at the first and second books. Characters may be in high school, but don't grow as people or learn much throughout the trilogy.

I am what one might call a... sucker... for a teenage murder mystery. The drama! The suspense! The implausibility! I love it all, and Karen McManus does it best.
