Corrupted Chaos

here's what I'll say, the groveling in mafia/dark romance is just top tier...otherwise for as quickly as I read this I felt no connection or interest in the characters. It held my attention and the steam is advanced level spice but it was just fine

I honestly grabbed this off of a facebook ad that had a section of one chapter... I thought it was going to be cheesy. NOT AT ALL. Definitely recommend this book for the spicy level and for the actual story itself. It seems like its Cade's story at times, Izzy's at times, Combined at times and then a criminal aspect at times as well as a recovery story.

Billionaire, mafia businessman, tech nerd, with tattoos? Yes, please.

Cade Armanelli. Mafia business man, cyber security wizard. Billionaire. Izzy's boss. Izzy's twin sisters husband's family.

So much happened in this book I didn't know whether I was coming or going. I wasn't sure whether or not she was going to be in trouble with the Albanian coding or not. Finding out Izzy's backstory was the most important part of the book for me because I've lost people to a battle with opioids (the scene with her singing to Lucas beat me down hard). I wanted to know how she got into that position, what lead her there, and what lead her to be so strong in her conviction that she was good at her job and worth it. I wanted to know more about both of these characters. Why was Cade so obsessed with her? How did he even know her other than being her boss?

Such a good read that I read it in one sitting. Would definitely recommend this to others. Spice 4/5.

A story of overcoming challenges

Good story, loved the female main character and how strong she grew to be. I read this one first by accident but it was still a complete story.

This type of book is definitely a NO for me. So maybe it's not necessarily bad, just bad for me?
Still, I didn't understand what was going on with the dialogue half the time lol

this was not good. the mmc was terrible and didn’t like fmc that much either. don’t see how fmc ever forgave mmc, and the fact that he was that possessive…not a fan.

I really enjoyed this book to the point where I saw a lot of myself in Izzy. Izzy is a recovered addict who works in IT/cybersecurity and Cade is the bane of her existence. This is very much a one-sided enemies-to-lovers but Cade really plays into how much she "hates" him. They start pretty strong in their attraction to one another. The way that Izzy talked herself down felt relatable to any form of addiction a person might have and how they cope with it. Cade is someone who pushes Izzy and doesn't coddle her because that's what her whole entire family does.

I love that Cade would literally just burn the world for Izzy. He protects her even when she doesn't realize it. He drives himself mad because he has been against falling in love but in reality has been in love with her since he met her (basically). I will say that the cons of this book are the fact that I don't know much about Cade and his upbringing other than what happened with his father. I will need to see if there is another book. I also think that the ease of Izzy's rescue felt rushed and too easy. I really wish that there had been a scene of Cade finding her.

I also think that what made this book take a little longer is that there are some moments that dragged on. Maybe it was long drawn-out parts of how they just both ignored their feelings for each other to Cade letting Izzy rationalize her love for him as hate/dislike.

Steam in this book is at like a 3.5. Definitely a lot of different kinds of scenarios that made it interesting with as much sex as they do have. Includes knife-play, dom/brat (sort of), voyeur, sex toys, etc.

Looking at the other books I have read from Shain Rose her books are a hit or miss. I am hoping that I will enjoy the other books in this series.

That was a fun one! Love me a jealous semi toxic couple. The banter was good & the spice was even better.

“You’re my Untouchable, and i’ll destroy the world before they come near you again.”

WOW WOW WOW!!
this book was amazing! this is my first book by Shain Rose and I can’t wait to read more of her stuff.
this story takes you on an emotional roller coaster of the relationship between Cade and Izzy.
this book had me in a chokehold and I couldn’t put it down for anything.
I loved the banter between Cade and Izzy and how they were both strong characters.
Izzy has been through a bunch but she always picked herself back up and proved everyone wrong.
this touches on addiction and insecurities and so much more so be sure to check tw’s!!

thank you so much to ValentinPR for this arc in exchange for an honest review!

p.s. I just read the bonus scene and O. M. G!!
I need more from these two!! ugh. I love them.

Chaos!

I will admit the FMC was a bit annoying at parts with her reasoning for not wanting to be with Cade, but he was
dark emotional funny inspiring sad medium-paced
