Cade and Izzy had me feeling swoony. I loved their fighting almost as much as their sweet moments. I loved that Izzy was consistently a strong force to be reckoned with and that Cade wanted her to be strong.

I DNFed this one and then went back to it when tik tok convinced me too. I was fooled. Cade’s job made no sense, their relationship didn’t feel genuine… obviously it wasn’t so horrible because I finished it but yeah not a fan.

part of me hates that i liked this but also this book was so fucking weird. like it truly was enemies to lovers which didn't disappoint, but some of the scenes and dialogue was SO questionable. like very. i did like the dynamic sometimes but other times i was left... baffled.


update: i just figured out there's 2 other books linked with this world and now i HAVE to read it because this is technically book 3 and i never not read in order. maybe i'll enjoy those books.
