Though the world of this story is absolutely absurd (they're 'reformed' mafia working with the government but still mafia, and the public world is okay with that?), the dynamic between the characters was highly entertaining.
I am a little salty this book was listed first in the series. Sure, they're standalones, sure they all have HEAs, but still. I didn't notice the publishing dates for the books before I started reading them, because who would think the book at the top of the list was published last?

I’ve read all of these books before I even realized they were connected. I would give this one a 5 star rating but it just doesn’t make sense to me. The plot lines don’t match up. How does Izzy go from being a recovering drug addict and in jail undercover special operative (fractured freedom) to a hacker? It’s been a little while since I’ve read this book so maybe it’s explained. I just don’t remember her past drug addiction being mentioned in this book.
