I really enjoyed this one. It had a couple of truly heartfelt moments that made me want to see our main couple end up together (okay, several truly heartfelt moments that made me want to see them end up together), and it was also pretty funny. There's a scene in wherein Hazel's watching Steel Magnolias and having a complete breakdown, and it's one of the most relatable things I've ever read. My biggest compliment to this book is probably that: all of the characters feel like very real, very human people to me, people that I could know. Maybe others disagree — I did the rare thing of not reading reviews for this one before I picked it up (though I'd heard it was good more generally — but I loved them! I also love the way Hazel and Josh interact - their love feels just as real as they do, but in the best kind of lived-in way. Loved this one, can't recommend it enough!

This is seriously one of the best books I’ve read in a while. I saw so much of myself in Hazel, and it made this reading journey very personal (aka I’m still crying over half of the plot as I type this).
