I'm not a fan of the manga-style art in this one, and the story is only just okay.

I continue to love the story and characters in this series, but I hella missed Sophie Campbell's art this time around. The art was good, but more cartoony and less "pretty."

Not enough Stimber this volume.

Aw, seeing lots of negative reviews about the art, but I really liked it. I mean, it's hard to compare to Campbell or Bartel but imo every artist on this book has been πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ‘ŒπŸΌ.

So much fuuuun! Not that it's that subtle, but it's so much more nuanced than the old show. And I don't hate Rio for being a complete and utter tool. And RAYA! YAY!

I didn't love the introduction of five very similar looking characters without the usual end-of-book character cheat sheets to reference. The Stingers all wear yellow, white, and black all the time and have blonde hair. It was many pages before I realized one of them was a man. This book makes some big changes without enough leading up to them to make them feel earned and not random. That said, Jerrica and Jem are doing interesting things this book, the masquerade party was fun, and the different artists throughout the book keep things interesting.

The story was just as good as previous volumes. The art on the other hand was a little strange.

Hated the art change. The plot was pointless. I'm stopping with this series.

hmm, so far my least favorite. The storylines, while introducing important things, felt very rushed. I think too much was thrown in, and I also didn't have a good grasp on the timeline of events.
I also did not care for the art for the majority of the book.
I still love the series as a whole, but I'm hoping for something better in #5.

OMG MY EYES. WTF IS UP WITH MCCLAREN'S STYLE? They all look like aliens. And the story is taking a turn that's pretty uninteresting. Really really bummed by all this...I love J&TH so... 😭
