Felt like this could have been resolved much earlier. This was one of those books (in my opinion) where the protagonists had their points of view and kept stating them over and over, so much that it negated any plot there was. I prefered the secondary story of Thomas and Connie over the primary one.

Connor's story in Woods's CHESAPEAKE SHORES series. Connor was perhaps the toughest nut to crack, since he was the most jaded after his parents' divorce. Enjoyable - I do like this whole series and it reminds me of Nora's MACGREGORS. Looking forward to the next as I have the remaining books in the series on my TBR.

Much less engaging than others with the same setting. Even the drama seemed predictable.

It's always nice to go home to Chesapeake Shores. This is Heather, Conner and Mick's story.

So predictable and so comforting and everyone is happy at the end. I highly recommend romance novels in these trash ass world on fire times.

A bit of a slow start, but ultimately enjoyable and somewhat cute.

I'm not sure if it's because I listened to, rather than read this book, but it felt longer and more repetitious than it needed to be. But, on the whole, it passed the long commuting time.

For some reason, I have had trouble adjusting to the time change this month. I do like having light in the early evening, but sleep was elusive.
This is where ebooks from my local library are wonderful. I wanted something light that would be relaxing as I dealt with my insomnia. I looked at the romances that were available and picked out another Chesapeake Shores romance.
This is the sixth romance by Woods that I have read since January 2008. Woods never disappoints. I could fall into Heather's and Connor's tale knowing that all would work out in the end.

More of a 3.5, since I couldn't really buy Connor's aversion to marriage. If marriage doesn't mean much why invest so much in avoiding it? However, it was interesting to have Heather also get cold feet.
To me the piece of paper shouldn't matter as much as your own vows.
