It was so easy to tell the direction of this book right from the beginning (i guess the cover says it all), but it was still quite a fun read.

4.5/5. I was not supposed to be reading this rn because my TBR is yelling at me. I needed a fantasy break and Ali Hazelwood is always a good palette cleanser.

She really had me at neuroscience. I related to Bee’s character a lot of her living in fear and anxious thoughts everyday. But Levi? Yeahh he was added to the book boyfriends list. But most of all I enjoyed the journey. Learning about Marie Curie, it being set in my hometown Houston (quick note to Ali: you can’t see the skyline from NASA Space Center), the side characters and cats, AND a lil plot twist mystery at the end. Just a fun and easy read I would recommend to any woman in STEM or STEM allies when you feel a reading slump coming on.

Knew who Schmac was from day 1. The only mild surprise was that Guy was maybe a bad guy but also who else would it have been. At least the cat was real 🙂

2.5 stars. This was okay. I didn’t love. Didn’t hate it. There was nothing that stood out to me. Nothing that pissed me off. Nothing crazy happened. I don’t regret reading it, but I also will never re-read it.
