When Kate was introduced in the book, it immediately occurred to me that she could be my future self, as I'm planning a similar career. I could feel her difficulties throughout the story, how she can't get from one to the other, no matter how hard she tries. In addition, she has to deal with a few journalists who tend to go their own way and who might end up in the wine cellar of an expensive restaurant at the end of the day. The most annoying of them all is Ben, who has already shown his "rabid fox" nature on the phone. Is it really a real misery to spend a week in Copenhagen?

What I liked most were the chapters on Danish culture, gastronomy and the sights of Copenhagen. The activities were fun and interesting and I got to know the small group better. Kate and Ben were my favourites, they had come a long way before they finally found each other. I also liked the others and I'm looking forward to reading about Sophie and Fiona in the sequel.

If you are interested in hygge or journalism, I highly recommend this book! It's a perfect relaxing read, just make sure you have a snack to eat too, because it's easy to get hungry from Danish delicacies.

These people need to communicate more and better. And it still has so many clichés.

I really liked the book. Pretty much the only downside being the fact that I disliked Ben... And isn't that quite a big downside...

Fazit: I liked it!
