Although I did enjoy this book a great deal, it did not have that extra oomph to propel it to a 5 star read. It skews closer to short story collection with connected characters than a panoramic story with multiple voices coming together as a novel. Was really hoping there would be more clarity on the Seekers eventually but it never got there. I do like that they were able to tell this story of a cult from a different perspective and tell an excellent story of 20th century America through that.
