This book is a love letter to New York and the magic it has and the impressions we make on people. It was so sweet and well written and every single character was fleshed out and human and I adored it. Didn’t love the PDA but everything else is PERFECT. also make this a 7 part Netflix show. RIGHT. NOW.

Very cute but plot was a little slow for me. I also took forever to read this book so that could definitely be a part of it. Good book though!

I liked that it talks about the lgbt+ issues in the past, but its all done in a passing way, the romance is kinda meh, i didn't see it, the protagonist is selfish in a really weird way, and honestly even if the idea of the plot is great, the way its executed... its lacking, so many things happens just to serve the plot, so many coincidences, is just dumb.
The author had an original idea but then had no idea how to actually execute it.

my sister bought me this book for christmas last year. it’s okay. a much more hopeful view of a bohemian new york city that does not exist. the characters are cute, the story is cute (albeit 100% predictable from cover to cover), the romance is cute. it doesn’t do much else for me.
