I love this series. Listening to the audio version was great. Too bad this was the last book in the series. I would love to read (listen) more about Mystic Bayou.

Sign me up!! I want to move to Mystic Bayou. Molly Harper has done the impossible. She has brought together a wide variety of shifters, making for unique couplings and amazing stories.

In A Farewell to Charms, she brings even more species. Who know there were gnomes, huge gigantic gnomes? These are not the Gnomes I am used to, but large ore benders!! My mind is very dull compared to Molly Harper's. I will let you discover what else visits Mystic Bayou.

Alex is a human in a paranormal world. That in itself has to be challenging. His crush on a gnome is mind-blowing. Of course he doesn't know what she is in the beginning, and kudos to him because he doesn't care. He just wants her. Even when her past catches up to her; he just wants her.

Keeping with the series, I was jumping in my seat waiting to see what would go bump in the night. I happily joined in when the town stood to protect one of their own. There is such a sense of family. I celebrated every happy moment, and there are some great moments. And the happily ever after has me beaming a day later.

Loved the audiobook but is just something about reading the actual book.

This is Eva and Alex's story. It's a little rocky at the beginning, which being from two different backgrounds and having their own damaged history...it's expected for both to be a little shy on the love front.

There is trouble that happens. Eva's past years come out as to why she's being so quiet about her past. And that all comes to...visit. There's trouble that stirs from it, and puts her love in harms way.

I love the family and friendship bonds created. We see all the characters pop in and how they have become so close. The jokes and fun they all have together is great. They are all so comfortable with each other. I smiled at some quick clips and jokes that are made. Such a comfortable place.

This is also the last book of the series. Molly does a nice little tie up with where the characters are. It feels to leave the characters where they are happy. Could there be more written in Mystic Bayou? Maybe, because all lives do go on. Are there stories here with them? Maybe. But, for now the town and our favorite people here are in their places in the world.

This fell to the same folly as the previous instalment. All the stakes have been removed, plot kinda leads nowhere and there’s even a third act breakup that gets resolved just because. There’s no conversation even, just one partner is in danger, the other saves them and that’s it.
There are some charms to this, man not being threatened by a woman who’s much stronger than he is, and probably will live for forever while he’s still human. The subtle nods to sexual flexibility, all cool, but this had a lot of annoyances and less humour.

This book was a quick read. The pace of the book was quick and I loved the characters. I liked all the books in this series and this was no exception.

Not my favorite book in the series. It felt like it tried to do too much and was not as engaging as some of the others.
