The kind of book that really shows you the hypocrisies you tell yourself every day. I had never heard of Alderian Psychology before this book, but now I have to look more into it.

this is one of the best books i've read in a while - the ~6 month library wait was worth it. HOWEVER. i will absolutely, 10000000% be buying my own copy. i highlighted so many things and need to go back and really let each chapter sink in and i want to take time to journal on the various things i highlighted.

this will really make you frustrated that freud gets talked about way more than adler. i know i wish i had heard of this philosophy sooner. i feel like it resonates with me way more. definitely, absolutely pick up a copy, be prepared to have everything you thought you knew wrecked - if only to build something better, stronger moving forward.

i wanted to devour this so quickly, but found that savoring it is really the way to go. also maybe read this with something lighter because this really makes you think so it's nice to have a balance.

One of my favourite books I have read so far, the concepts introduced were so new and unheard of to me. The philosophy of Adler is a stark contrast to Freudian ideologies, it breathes new hope and understanding to how one can change their view of life and their purpose. More than anything it provides optimism on how to live in the moment, compared to the hopeless feel of past events determining present and future circumstances if we were to think in a Freudian sense.

The most interesting and helpful psychology book I have ever read. It completely changed my perspective on life.
