I really enjoy this series - the characters are flawed by likeable and there is plenty of humor to balance the more serious elements.

I have read this book many times, but I still love it.

Atticus is visited by revenge-seeking acquaintances and strangers who want to get even with their enemies. However, the druid must deal with new local threats while educating her apprentice Granuaile and protecting his loved ones.

The Celtic goddesses want our protagonist, who could be a valuable ally, on their side. Coyote, a mischievous Native American god, also turns up to take on a demon. Meanwhile, witches, Bacchanal women and kabbalists are causing mayhem.

In the second book, we can expect more humour, action and paranormal conflict. We are in for another unforgettable adventure with the last druid, his faithful dog and his enthusiastic apprentice.

I really enjoyed this installment! I love how this series combines so many different mythologies. it makes it so interesting.

the women are still not portrayed great in this series, over sexualized and what not.

I do however love both Hal and Lief a lot!

Second in the series. Like the previous one, don't try to think about it too much...just be entertained by the dialogue and characters. The plot is a bit scattered and episodic; parts of the story seem to just be there to set up the next book.

Like the first one, this book is a fun diversion without a lot of real substance.

It did suffer from a feeling of being in between other books. It felt more like a segue to later novels, than a cohesive story of its own.

This book is so fun, I love it. Many series I read that includes immortals, they tend to lose their humor after time. Atticus; however, is one of the most hilarious story narrators that I have read in a long time. Every single one of the characters is rich in detail and unique. The widow and Oberon are hilarious, always able to provide a comic relief throughout the book no matter what dire things are taking place in the plot. I just love these books so much ok?
