I definitely felt the characterization and plot/pacing was the best in this of her series in this world. There was still some repetition and confusing world stuff/god talk but overall the story kept me intrigued. The characters had amazing growth and development that I adored. And Nyktos is just

Once more I am completely blown away by JLA. I absolutely adore her books for their intense plots even if sometimes the spice can be a bit much for me. It makes me want to drown in the words and lose myself to the lives of Sera and Ash!

This one got spicy and so good. Once you got past 50% it was NONSTOP and it took me on a roller coaster. The cliffhanger ending has me reeling!

So, so good! I will admit that portions of the plot were quite predictable, but the character development made it worth it. I appreciate the nod to mental health throughout the book.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3 stars are mainly for the Jadis/Reaver/Nektas content)
Plot: Sera battling with her feelings for Ash while trying to live and not die.
FMC: Strong, brave, sassy but also wilfully ignorant at times.
MMC: Broody, posessive, solemn af
