This book wasn't terrible. It just wasn't as advertised. I found this title as an ebook because categorized as humorous fiction. The cover led me to believe this would be some sort of "meet cute" romantic comedy. It was not. It was a story about love, grief, trauma, and resolution. It did have a happy ending. It pulled off winding 3 storylines together that the end finished with an twist. But it was not humorous, and not particularly romantic.

I hated the guy in this for the best part of the book, on paper he was scetchy, avoiding things and never what he seemed but by the end of the book I loved him and could understand why he was the way he was, I loved all the twists and turns thoughout this story beth O'Leary has definitely done it again can't wait to pick up another one of her stories

Not what I expected when I read the blurb!

At first glance I thought this was going to be a 'Girls uncover the cheater! Female empowerment!' Sort of book. I was pleasantly surprised when it ended up being somewhat deeper than that.

At the beginning I was invested in the characters, routing for them to uncover the truth. I love the way the sections and chapters were laid out, leading you down the different paths of the story, waiting for a hint they were going to connect.

Having said that, there was a point I felt my interest waning. For a while it felt like the story had plateaued and was no longer building towards a conclusion. However I persevered and the ending was definitely worth it. The twist near the end that connects all the dots was totally unexpected.

I don't recon I'd ever read it again but it was definitely worth finishing.

Great plot twist at the end, but I was starting to think about dnfing this book as I was getting bored. I probably would have rated it lower if it weren't for the last 2hours of the book which were interesting.

I would have mostly liked the ending if she hadn’t strung me along for SO LONG
