I liked Rose and Fionn's developing relationship but the book felt repetitive and the plot twists at the ending felt drawn out.

I’ve entered the Ruinous Love Trilogy in a completely unhinged way (when my library holds become available), but I’m still enjoying the series. So far, this is my least favorite and I think that has more to do with the lack of banter from Fionn. He is so strait laced and serious all the time. Rose tries to pull him out of his shell but I still feel like he is locked in a bubble because of his secret mission. The love letters though, 🤌🥰. Exquisite professions of love. *swoon* The audiobooks for this series will forever be my favorite. Eric Nolan and Samantha Brentmoor are the best duo. Time to finish the series with Butcher and Blackbird. 🐦‍⬛ 🫣

I didn't like this one as much as the first two.
My main complaint is that the plot felt pretty slapdash and inconsistent, like events were forced into shape where they didn't really fit.
It felt kind of rushed, as though maybe it doesn't get as much time going through edits or revisions? It was a bit of a let down from the first one, which I enjoyed quite a lot.

And, personally, I'm not into overly possessive men, so this one did not do it for me.

The only saving grace for this one was the audio performance, which was once again a duet and excellent.
